Stories That Move You.

In 2002, the Mary Free Bed Guild of Grand Rapids created the Minority Scholarship Program to promote diverse staffing.  Today, two former scholarship winners are now working at Mary Free Bed.

Andrea Dennis is a past scholarship winner who now works as a Pediatric Resident at Mary Free Bed.  Andrea said, “Winning the minority scholarship was such a blessing, I am so grateful to the Guild who funded two years of my Physical Therapy education.”

If you are currently enrolled in a nursing or therapy program (PT, Speech, OT) at a university or college in the West Michigan area, you may be eligible for the Mary Free Bed Guild Minority Scholarship.

Students who meet the established criteria are eligible to apply for a 1 year scholarship. The scholarship amounts vary depending on individual needs.

Go to the Mary Free Bed website to download an application and read the requirements. All applications much be postmarked by April 15, 2010. Awards given will apply to the fall 2010/winter 2011 school year.
